Background C.P.I.C. Criminal Record Checks
F.I.P.S. (Fingerprints, Identifications and Pardons Services) offers online C.P.I.C. (Canadian Police Information Centre) criminal background checks for individuals who require a name-based Criminal Record Check (CRC) for employment, volunteering, or general screening purposes.
C.P.I.C. is Canada’s national police database, maintained by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
What Is a C.P.I.C. Check?
A C.P.I.C. check is a name- and date-of-birth–based criminal record search conducted through the Canadian Police Information Centre. It provides information available within CPIC and, where applicable, local police databases.
C.P.I.C. checks are commonly requested for employment, volunteer roles, housing, education, or general background screening when a fingerprint-based check is not required.
