F.I.P.S provides reference checks by using a person's name and date of birth and / or fingerprints. These checks are performed on the request of a given company, seeking to hire an employee or volunteer. These checks are also provided to individuals who are advancing from their current employment or seeking employment abroad.
A Canadian Police Information Check (C.P.I.C.) will conduct an electronic investigation. This information is collected from Service data bank and Identification data bank. This query will search information on files relating to:-
- Restraining orders
- Criminal convictions
- Suspects in a criminal offence
- Current criminal charges before the Courts
- Parole information
R.C.M.P. Criminal Record Checks are conducted on two bases:-
F.I.P.S. will guide you in the right direction and help you save time and money in this legal process.
1) Fingerprint Check- Search is done by RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records where application submits electronic fingerprints and processed in 72hr by RCMP (if no record exists). This search produces a Certified Criminal Record Check to the applicant.
2) Name based check- Search is performed on a query of name and date of birth check performed by RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records. This clearance letter is also known as Police Clearance, Background Check, C.P.I.C., Police Clearance Certificate, Police Record Check, Criminal Background and Criminal Record check. This check is processed much quicker.
